I just learned how to do the Faux Silk technique this weekend.Melanie Cruz taught it to us.Thanks Melanie!

Hope you enjoy this Make N Take it is easy peasy quick and………. Uh, not so hard… (I didn’t want to say easy twice). 

Supplies
1 piece of Tissue Paper- white or light colors- 3 x 3 1/2 . (I used lavender).
2 pieces of White card stock (1) 2 1/2 x 3, (1) 2 3/4 x 3 ¼.
2 pieces colored card stock (1) 5 1/4 x 4 Lavender Lace (1) 5 ½ x 8 ½ (folded in half )Elegant Eggplant.
Anywhere Glue Stick
Ribbon Organza
Shimmer Mist
4-5 sheets of typing paper or a couple pieces of grid paper.
Distressing Tool

Stamp Set
Of the Earth
Thoughts and Prayers for the sentiment.

Ink
Elegant Eggplant
Use Markers if you plan on adding two tones (flowers & leaves) (direct to stamp method)

Directions
Step(1) Use the rough side of the tissue paper (if you can tell the difference). If not don’t worry!
(PLEASE NOTE): When you stamp on the tissue paper it WILL bleed through. Please be sure there is nothing under your tissue paper except for scratch paper (Typing Paper or Grid Paper). Ink up the flower or use the marker-direct to stamp method for inking the flower. Stamp once onto the tissue paper, huff and stamp again several times. Keep your stamped images as close together as you can because are working on a small canvas.

Step (2) Let tissue paper dry for a few minutes. When it is dry scrunch the tissue paper in to a small ball. Carefully smooth tissue back out. Apply glue stick to the entire surface of the smaller piece of white card stock. Place tissue paper image over the sticky white card stock, positioning it where you want it. (The tissue paper is not very forgiving so be careful) Smooth out the tissue paper starting from the center working your way out to the edges. Set aside to let dry. Once dried, use one squirt of Shimmer Mist ONLY! As the Mist will make your ink run. Set aside to dry again.

Step (3) While you are waiting pre assemble your card. Stamp sentiment & attach ribbon. Distress the edges of the 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 piece of card stock. Once the Faux Silk flower piece is dry trim the edges and attach this piece to the distressed piece of card stock. Adhere this piece to your card.Image and video hosting by TinyPic
There you have it a beautiful card creation.
