Scrunched Scallop Flower Make N Take #2

Hello my blogging friends. Blogging is a lot of work. I had a Blog learning curve last week and just got a few days to sort it out. Thank goodness to computer literate friends (Mary & Carolyn) who can walk me through the in's and out's of transferring a Word Documents to PDF??? I'll have to ask them what PDF means lolol.  After seeing the VC_Rocks Blog Hop last weekend some of you had requested I do a demo on how to make the  Scrunched Flowers from one of my previous cards.I have seen several variations of this flower on line (SCS, Stamping Connection) this is my version. I am not the originator. I added a little extra bonus to the last diagram by using Aluminum Foil to one of the flowers in this tutorial. I have not seen this done on line before and thought it came out nicely. So here goes my Second Make N Take for VC_Rocks and my blogging friends. Have fun scrunching.

Scrunched Scallop Flowers

Supplies Needed:

Scallop Circle Punch, Card Stock, Water Spritz Bottle (with water), 1 Large Bead.

1. Punch out 10 scallop circles. You can use the same color or combination of colors.

2. Spritz each flower with water and scrunch. The more you scrunch the better the effect will be. Set aside to dry.  If the scallop pieces are not completely dry the ink may run into lighter colors.

3. Once all pieces are fry start to assemble. At this point you have the option of using as many pieces as you like. The fewer the pieces the looser the flower will be, Try a different amount of pieces to see what effect you like.

4. Place one piece on top of the other. Use your piercing tool and matt to make a hole in the center of the scallop. Note: If the pieces are not dry enough the piercing tool may make the hole too big and the brad will not stay in place.

5. This step is important! Start from the inside piece and work your way out! Scrunch the top piece really tight and then continue to the last piece scrunching less with each piece. Fluff the flower to get your desired look.

Option: Spritz the completed flower with Shimmer Mist for a shiny look. I added a few pieces of Alumin Foil scallops to a flower and it came out really nice and shiny too!

Hope you enjoyed this demo, and have fun making you own Scrunched Flowers for your next project.
