Yippee it's Sketch Frenzy Friday

Hello to all my blogging friends. I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

Where has this week gone? Days are all blending together and time is slipping away! I think it must be that I am so busy still putting things away and settling to our new place.
Good news though, it wasn't as hot as it has been, thank goodness it made my days work much easier. My sister and I are having a Yard Sale today and Saturday so I have been cleaning and sorting and pricing household and stamping/  scrap booking items that are no longer needed. Pray we do good and we make lots of cash so I can get some new goodies from the New SU Catty! I have really priced things to sell. I am hoping the shoppers go for volume rather then for particular items. Now on to our Blog Hop!!!!!

It's the Sketch Frenzy Friday Blog Hop. Today's sketch was designed by Kimm Innis. Isn't this a cute sketch!
This is what I came up with.
I just received a new punch this week called Fancy Flowers so I had to try it out...LOVE IT! It punches so smooth. You have to try it and it matches many of our new Stamp and Hostess Sets.

Supplies used: Three of the new In colors- Island Indigo, Calypso Coral  and Lucky Limeade card stock. The DSP is Beyond the Garden and I snuck in some Melon Mombo CS. Punches- Fancy Flowers and Modern Lable Punch. Basic Black Classic Ink for the sentiment. Pearls, Antique Brads and the Polka Dot Textured Impression Folder to give the card some bling. Two new Stamp Sets My Friend  (I love it) and Posy Punch works well with the Fancy Flowers Punch.

What I did was scrunch up three flowers to make the center flower which gave it some texture and volume then and added a brad to the center. Stamped two punched flowers with the small circle stamp from Posy Punch and ran them through Mr. Big Shot. Everything got some bling with our cute little pearls.  Easy Pezy this one was! (Ok Yoda) lolol.

Now you are off to Robbie Rublia's beautiful blog  http://inkedx2.blogspot.com/ I just love her work!
If you would like to try your hand at making a card for this sketch please be sure to post it on our blog so we can see it. http://www.sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/

It is your turn to go and make something fun! Chat Soon.

First day of Summer @ 104 Degrees

Hello to all my blogging friends. I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

Oh My Goodness!! It's over 100 again today! Yesterday was the first day of Summer and it was 104 degrees or better YIKES!
Today isn't any cooler either. We were watching TV last night and the newscaster said the South was raining. What the heck is that all about?
My Honey said he likes June Gloom, I'm beginning to agree with him as it is was a nice break from this heat!

I made a Refreshing card for us today it has lot's of blues and water texture to it.
I think it looks better in person. I am working with a new fixture to take pictures  in and it just isn't giving me the look I want? I'll keep working on it.

Supplies used:
Aqua Painter, Mini Pearls, Rose Red DSP , Not Quite Navy CS and Ink, Natural White CS. Stays on Ink, Crystal Effects, Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink Ink, Stampin' Dimensionals, On The Grow Stamp Set.
I stamped 2 images of the flower vase and painted several flowers on one of the images in a darker blue ink then added Crystal Effects to the flowers so they would be shiny and let that dry.
The second image, I colored and added shading to the vase and the leaves. Then I colored the remaining flowers in a lighter blue with a touch of pink in the centers. Once the 1st images darker flowers were dry I cut them out and attached them to the front of the lighter flowers with CE.
Next, I cut out the second image and attached it to a separate piece of Natural White CS and lifted it with SD. I try to shade the outside of card stock to give it another dimension so I did that to all of my layers. Attach that piece to a very narrow piece of Rose Red DSP for some POP and attach the Rose Red piece to another piece of Natural White CS. Finally, I attached those pieces to a Not Quite Navy piece of CS and then attached all of that to the Natural White Card Base. Once completed, I stamped the sentiments and the inside picture. To complete my card I added a few mini pearls to some flowers and the sentiment. There you have it.

Thank you for stopping by today, stay cool and be safe. Now go create something fun for yourself.

I will show you all pictures in the next few days as there are still a few boxes hanging around that are going out for the Yard Sale stuff. That's a story for another post lololol

PS, I want to give a warm welcome to Maria Vanderform our newest member of the SFF Design Team. This will be her first submission with us and you will not be disappointed! Maria is an amazing crafter, and we are lucky to have her! Welcome Maria!

We survived the move!

Hello to all my blogging friends. I hope this post finds you all well and happy!

We have made our move and are now digging ourselves out from under a pile of boxes! We have been here for one week and I am down to the last 10 crafting boxes and I still can not find my scissors and or paper cutters? The cord for my camera to the computer is missing too?? That is why I can't post any pictures yet.
I am so going through paper crafting withdrawals!!!!!
Oh and Jeff did mention the number of craft room boxes I labeled lollolhahaha. That's our little secret ok!

I have about 21 boxes of books/ china that I have to deal with and then I will be done unpacking! Then the next arduous task will be to sort cloths and rearrange the kitchen and bathroom items. I just sort of had to put things where ever I had space and made changes when I emptied a box lololo. Next move I make I'm hiring movers I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff (not the word I had in my head lolololol)

Do me a favor go create something fun for me. I miss having ink on my hands!
